Paryushan Fasting Guide

Paryushan is an intense period of reflection and fasting in Jain traditions. Some people keep Ekasana or Upvas; others go much deeper. This page is intended as a gentle reference only.

Admins can tag simple, sattvic plates and foods withparyushan_fast so they appear here. Many users may simply use Indian Calorie as a logbook without detailed macros during this time.

Use with care

Advanced Jain fasts need supervision. Indian Calorie should remain a respectful tracker and reference, not a challenge app. Over time we can add more context and reminders about rest, hydration (when applicable) and breaking fast gently.
